JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- In case you missed it, Dancing with the Stars was a big success this weekend. It raised about $45,000 for the NE Florida Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The event was sold out at Bolero's Ballroom. Frank Mackesy and his pro partner Megan Wallace won first place. Frank is the Undersheriff for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Read more>>
Jacksonville’s Undersheriff Takes an Early Lead in This Year’s (August 6, 2009) – Local celebrities of this year’s Dancing with the Stars competition have not only agreed to learn how to dance, look good at it doing it and to sell an audience, but have also committed themselves to raising money for this year’s benefiting charity of the competition, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). This year’s local celebrities are raising money through many creative outlets, but one has just taken the lead in a big way thanks to a corporate contribution made in his behalf.
