Natasha Wiggins
In her personal life Natasha is a loving wife, successful AVEDA salon operator and proud mother of two adult children. Born in The Netherlands, she moved with her family to both California and Germany before they settled in Texas in 1968 where she was raised. Calling Dallas her home as a child Natasha was active in children's theater projects during the summers, and enjoyed dancing, roller skating, biking, swimming and hula-hoop whenever she could. With no formal training in these or any other active art, in March of 1985, Natasha tried out for and became a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader.
"I traveled and performed for entertainment and charitable causes. I also made appearances at events, was highlighted on "The Dallas Cowboys Weekly" program, was featured in a Game Day Program, appeared in the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders' Calendar as the October model, and was chosen for a cover shoot for American Photographer Magazine.
Professionally Natasha is a licensed Cosmetologist since 1982. Having worked in the beauty industry for a handful of years, she took a turn in the corporate world working as an apartment manager, administrative assistant and executive assistant before returning to her first passion of styling hair.
With her husband Stephen, she opened Avante Salon Avondale in September 2002, where she continues to work as the Master Stylist and Owner/Operator of the salon. In recent years Natasha has become involved in running and ran her first Gate River Run in 2007. Since then she has run in several more organized runs including 5K's, 1/2 marathons and even trained to run a marathon.
"Though I still love to work with clients at my salon, my passion is dance. I am so excited to have this opportunity to do something that serves our community and feeds my passion."
