Ayesha

Ayesha K. Faines is a general-assignment and traffic reporter at WJXT Channel 4 in Jacksonville, Florida. She also fills in as an anchor on the weekend and weekday editions of The Morning Show. She was born and raised in New Jersey. Prior to Channel 4 Ayesha was a student at Yale University. She graduated with degrees in both Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations and African Studies. She speaks both Spanish and Arabic.

During her senior year at Yale, Ayesha worked as freelance journalist for CNBC, reporting the presidential candidate's economic positions for "Your Money, Your Vote" for CNBC.com. She also wrote for the New Haven Independent, a local Connecticut newspaper.

Ayesha's first love is dance. A classically trained ballerina, she studied with New Jersey Ballet and she was a merit-scholarship student in Dance Theatre of Harlem professional training program. As a teen, she performed professional roles with the New Jersey Ballet Company. She is also an accomplished pianist, though she admits, her parents gave her no choice in this matter.

She has close ties with The Bridge of Northeast Florida where she has volunteered training students of all ages in Public Speaking. Words can not express the impact that performing arts have had on Ayesha's life. She is elated to raise money for the Jacksonville Children's Chorus so that another generation of children may reap the benefits of self-expression.

She sends a heartfelt thanks, and love, to all those who've supported iher in this journey and beyond.
